Hey everyone!
Today's post on Estée Lauder's Gentle Eye Makeup Remover (£19), which I got in the set my boyfriend's mum bought me. Yes, it's pricey, but when such a little goes a long way, you get a lot for your money in my opinion.
First of all, I like the purple and gold bottle - very regal feeling. Secondly - I often dislike eye makeup removers because they feel oily and my contacts gets cloudy and it's not fun for anyone.
Yes, this still clearly has oils in it. However, it removed heavy and dark eye makeup with a quick press, hold and swipe, and I was able to remove any oily residue with either my normal cleanser or a facewipe if I was feeling particularly lazy.
For stubborn makeup, waterproof mascara and the like this works wonders, and if you feel other eye makeup removers are too slick, this definitely felt less greasy and heavy than most I've used.
A thumbs up from me - this even removed stubborn traces of my Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners. So on days when Bioderma is just not enough, I'll be reaching for this.
What's your favourite eye makeup remover?

This sounds really good! My mum had an Estée Lauder eye makeup remover when I was younger and I used to swipe it for myself because it was that good. I can only imagine in the time since then (about 10 years) that its become even more amazing. I think investing in a good eye makeup remover is worthwhile. The last thing you want is to be tugging on your eyes and getting premature wrinkles! xo
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Much better to spend a bit more and get an eye makeup remover that works gently.

Removers with oil can be more effective especially with the stubborn stuff! Glad this works well for you :)
ReplyDeleteI heard that too - I guess that's why micellar water is so popular!

Hmmm...interesting. I am thinking of trying this out since I put a lot of make up because of work. It seems like a great product to try out based on your review.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it!
