Hey everyone!
In my current quest for good hair, I was pleased to find a sample of the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (£22.30 full size)* in my Cosmo goody bag. It's one of the most hyped hair products around, so I was interested to see if it held up to the claims.
I put a few squeezes of this into my wet hair, covered with a shower cap and left it on for twenty minutes before rinsing, and washing as normal.
I found the smell was quite nice, but that I did have to use quite a lot to get it into my whole head of hair - I can only imagine how much you'd have to use on long hair!
Once my hair was dry it looked very shiny and healthy, but it didn't feel particularly better in terms of condition. This pre-shampoo treatment did make my hair very soft, with a glossy finish and some bounce, but to be honest given the very high price I'm not sure I would repurchase.
I think you may be able to get a similar effect from other products such as the Lee Stafford mask, or perhaps a combo of hair oils and mousse, but this does the trick in one product. If you feel it works significantly better for you than other brands then by all means, go for it. I love the effect of it, I just don't like the price.
