Hello everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying my new look. Before I get into today's review, I just want to know: if anyone has any questions (get to know me type stuff, blogging, photography questions etc.) please ask them and I'll construct my F.A.Q page to answer them. Also I'm in the middle of putting together my eight part Christmas Gift Guide (and maybe a sneaky giveaway). When would you like to see this posted? Is now too soon?
Anyway, on to today's post which is all about the Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment (£9.68 for 30ml )*. I got this in my Cosmo Blog Awards goody bag; a dinky 10ml sample.
I love a glass bottle sample.
Looking at the ingredients, it's clear that this is full of silicones (the first two ingredients are silicones) and so I know that I shouldn't use this too often on my hair. However, when my hair has been looking particularly devoid of shine, or wind-blown and frazzled, I rub a tiny bit of this between my fingers and run it easily through my mid-lengths and ends.
The texture in my hands is slightly tacky, and it doesn't run all over the place which is a serious plus. It works into the hair easily, and after drying leaves my hair looking noticeable improved - shinier, smoother and ten times less tangled. My hair doesn't feel like it has any product in it, either.
I know a lot of people avoid silicones entirely, but when your hair is so winter damaged and fine like mine, they can be an instant-fix life saver. It's not the cheapest product on the market, but it's not astronomically expensive either as a very little goes a long way. For sparing use, I think this is a great short-term fix for tired, lifeless hair.
Have you tried any hair oils? Anything silicone free that works as well?
S xx.

I've heard so many good things about the mask that goes with this and this oil, everybody kind of agrees its even better than the MorrocanOil range! I really wanna try it but the price tag puts me off. hehe I personally don't mind the silicones. I don't know, maybe I should, but if it makes my hair look nice, I'll use it. lol xx

Silicones make my hair look great (at least short term) so I don't mind using them, I just worry sometimes about long term damage and so on. MorroccanOil is SO EXPENSIVE. Good though. I want to get the mask as well!
