Seven of The Best Halloween Video Tutorials

Hey guys!
Halloween is right around the corner and I have neither the skill (see last year's pretty dismal looks), or the funds to put together Halloween tutorials for you all, as much as I'd love to. Maybe next year? Instead, I thought I'd gather together some of the coolest Halloween tutorials I could find on Youtube - as well as some of the coolest Youtubers who often have several tutorials on their channels for this Halloween - an group them here for you to browse if you are still stuck for ideas. I hope this helps!
Please note I've used images from the creator's blogs and Youtubes to show you the looks, so please click through to see the original content - and I don't own any of these images!

1. Vintage or Tacky's Malice in Wonderland - this look is a lot of fun and the mouth really creeps me out. I love this channel anyway - Vintage or Tacky always has fun, creative looks that are explained in an easy to follow (and often budget friendly) way. Check out the Catwoman tutorial as well, before almost definitely trawling through the archives to see the Disney Princess series and more. Also, so jealous of the perfect skin going on in this picture!

2. Nikkie Tutorials Modern Marie Antoinette Flapper Look - Nikkie is another Youtuber I have been watching for a while - she is so friendly seeming and smiley, as well as doing some great looks. She is another woman on Youtube with perfect skin! Sensing a pattern here. Anyway, this look is bright, cool and easily explained, as well as being a twist on something of a Halloween staple. I really, really enjoy it.

3. iwanted2c1's Merfairy - This Youtube channel is completely new to me but there are a ton of costume makeup's on there. They are pretty straightforward and often completed within the constraints of a budget challenge, which is great if you are strapped for cash this Halloween. The tutorials on this challenge tend towards the sparkly and pretty side of Halloween - like this one, which is great fun and super over the top - perfect for a costume!

4. LetzMakeUp's Creepy Skull - another Youtuber I hadn't seen before but I love this tutorial! It's pretty creepy, but made using products I think pretty much all of us can easily replicate at home. I like how this tutorial is slightly longer and shows the choices she makes about shading and lines - it helps to know where to place these details when recreating the look for yourself. There are a lot of other awesome looks on this channel so you can click around and look for others that you like.

5. Emma Pickle's Pop Art/Comic Book Makeup Tutorial - is the best one I've seen. I haven't seen this channel before either but it looks relatively new, and there are a bunch of super cool looks to recreate on it already, including Mystique, my favourite X-Men character. The Pop Art look is my favourite though, and it seems fairly easy to recreate at home.

6. Goldiestarling's Davy Jones Pirate - I'm sure most people have heard of or seen Goldiestarling. She is seriously talented and comes up with some great Halloween looks. This is amazing - really involved and impressive, if you felt like going all out with prosthetics and so on this Halloween. She has also recently published a Vincent Van Gogh tutorial that I thought was beyond amazing, so check it out too if you can.

7. dope2111's Corpse Bride - If you like costume makeup at all, and look at tutorials online, I'm sure you'll have seen Promise Phan's tutorials. This is just one of many published in time for Halloween (I can't wait to see the Maleficent tutorial!) and most of her other looks on the channel are transformations (my favourites - Jessica Rabbit, Human Robot, and Three Johnny Depp Characters ).

Hope you liked this or found it helpful! Are there any other tutorials online you like? Link them below, I'd love to see!

    1. It does, right?! Ahh, I am going as a silent movie star this year, with my boyfriend. Loosely based on George and Peppy from The Artist, we are doing full greyscale makeup (hopefully!). What about you?
