Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio Haul, Swatch and Review Part Three: I'm Getting Sunburned

Hey everyone!
Here's the much promised review of my third Wet n Wild Color Icon trio, I'm Getting Sunburned. If you live in the UK you can get these palettes for relatively cheap on eBay, and of course it's much easier to get them in the US, where they are $2.99. I got these posted to me from a friend in New York.

I'm Getting Sunburned is such a beautiful trio. It has more fallout than the others, and is more pigmented (I almost went entirely overboard on the middle shade) but makes up for it in prettiness. The eyelid colour is a bright, sparkly yellow gold with a somewhat chunky glitter; the crease shade is a deep, blackened brown with dots of russet sparkle, and the browbone colour is a light, silky silvered pink.
These were soft and pigmented but perhaps a little too much - I found I really had to use a light hand and blend, blend, blend with the first two shades! As always, I struggled to get a good eye photo, so included three:

I used all three as directed, bringing the crease colour down as a liner as well. It was much more smoky  in real life, but as I have complained time and again, my camera seems not to pick up the vibrancy of shadows - what am I doing wrong??
Anyway, hope you like it!
What do you think? Have you tried any of these palettes yet?

  1. I totally know hat you're talking about in terms of the I'm Getting Sunburned being too pigmented! I'm always too afraid to break this trio out because the middle shade is so intimidating, any time I've tried to use it I end up going overboard. Also, have you noticed the Wet n Wild trios seem to have funny color combinations? The frosty pink seems totally out of place in this particular one!

Such a lovely review, and I don't know what you're talking about, I think your photos look fab!

    1. Thank goodness it's not just me! I find it really difficult not to use too much of the middle shade - I wonder why this one and not the others? YES I HAVE. The frosty pink is an odd inclusion in the one, and in I Got Good Jeans, a frosty blue as a brow highlight was an odd addition too!
      Thanks so much!
