A BIG THANK YOU: I've Been Shortlisted for Cosmo Blog Awards Best New Beauty Blog!

Hey everyone!
I don't even know what to say. I came home today to find a weird spike in traffic to my blog. Curious about where all the new clicks where coming from, I checked it out and discovered I'd been shortlisted for the Cosmo Blog Awards in the Best New Beauty Blog category!
Cue a massive scream in an empty flat from me - and then a phone call to my mum, who immediately voted for me (sorry guys, nepotism!) and set about getting everyone she knows to vote for me! Haha.

I'm incredibly shocked and proud to have been shortlisted in a category that includes so many amazing bloggers, most of whom I'm subscribed to and have been reading for ages. When I put out a message asking if anyone might want to nominate me, it never even crossed my mind that I might seriously make the shortlist.

I know that most of all, I have you to thank. Not to get gushy or over-emotional, but when I started this blog just under a year ago (it's my anniversary next week, so keep your eyes open for something special!) I didn't realise it would come to mean so much to me. I honestly enjoy everything about blogging, from thinking of content, to writing posts, to connecting with readers like you, who comment and tweet and subscribe and just make everything all round lovely.

If it wasn't for you - all of you lovely people - supporting me and nominating and even just clicking through and reading, this wouldn't be half as brilliant a thing to do, and nor would I have ever come close to being shortlisted.

Thank you, so much, really. I couldn't be more grateful. Next week, Beauty and Baggage turns 1. I can't believe it's been a year, and I'll be doing something special to celebrate that will very much involve you guys, so keep watching.
