So the other day, a friend of mine gave me an Urban Decay Loose Pigment in the shade X because she never wore it and it seemed like my kind of colour. I didn't even know these things existed, and I don't think you can get them on the Urban Decay website anymore. However, you can get them for ridiculously cheap here (from as little at 99p!); you can also get it super cheap on Amazon or from Fragrance Direct for £3.50.
The tub the pigment comes in is a little clunky - I found when applying the pigment I lost a lot because I was applying it with a brush that picked it up really loosely. I think you could easily decant it into a pot or something though. The colour is the main thing, and X is awesome:
Although in this swatch it looks almost pure yellow gold, it has a duochromey type effect where shades of peach, melon and even green shine through in the right light. The swatch above shows a dry swatch on the right and a swatch over primer on the left. The dry swatch rubbed off with little effort but the wet swatch stayed put on my hands for hours.
These would be fun to pick up for some bright, pigmented colours on the cheap! I'd recommend this shade but they have lots of others, most of which correspond to eyeshadow shades in the Urban Decay range, that might be fun to try as well.
Have you ever tried any of these? Do you like them?
