L'Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza Swatch and Review

Hey everyone!
A quick review for you today; a new gel liner a picked up in Boots when I was getting some nail things that I'll be reviewing for you shortly!
I picked up the L'Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza (£8.99) because my E.L.F Cream Liner has gone crumbly and dry recently, and I much prefer gel liners to pens or pencils.

The liner comes in a thick glass pot which makes it look like there is more product than there is (which seems to be a trend recently!) but it looks very nice.

The formula is wetter than the ELF liner but not messy, and is pigmented and incredibly black. The two swatches above were done using the brush that comes with the liner, as are the eye swatches below.

The liner goes on very smoothly and very pigmented, and the brush isn't perfect but does the job fine.
This liner lasted all day on my eye without smudging or crumbling, and it actually took a bit of effort to get it off at night.
I think this is a worthwhile purchase as it ticks all my boxes: smooth formula, easy application, truly black pigmented colour and long-lasting.
Have you tried this liner yet? What do you think?

  1. I've got the Maybelline gel liner but I HATE the horrible scratchy brush it comes with. The actual liner is fab. I haven't tried the L'Oreal one though x

    1. I was torn between the Maybelline and the L'Oreal but I'm glad I got it - I might try the Maybelline in the future though! The brush isn't great but it's ok for what you pay, I s'pose.

  2. Does it stay really black all day? Im on the hunt for 1 that does using clinique brush on cream liner at the min love the formula but after a while it fades n I end up paintin over it with my liquid liner which defeats the object x

    1. I have found that it stays black on me - but I don't have oily eyelids so if you do this may be different - also I always wear an eyelid primer which means mostly what I put on stays put! :P Hopefully if you try it it'll work for you too!

  3. I am using the Maybelline one at the moment, and I love it, the brush is perfect for my eye shape, and I'm probably going to review it soon, when I'm done with exams - thank you for the good luck wishes, you're a babe :)

I'm probably going to try the l'Oréal one when I 'run out', I'm all for trying new products and trust your opinion :) xx

    1. I wanted to get the Maybelline one too, but ended up picking the L'Oreal one up in the end for some reason; I'd love to hear your review. I hope everything goes well with your exams - it'll all be over soon! :)

Thank you so much, I'm so pleased to hear it! Hopefully it works as well for you as it has for me :)

  4. I tried the L'Oreal but it reacted with my skin! Never had that happen to me before either. I have the Bobbi Brown one no, but haven't tried it yet, I'm now a little scared too!

Love your perfect flick! You must have very steady hands. Just started following you btw, love finding new blogs :)

    1. Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! Maybe you should test the Bobbi Brown one on another sensitive area of your skin like your inner elbow or something, to make sure your skin doesn't react to it first?

Thank you! I just always tilt my head back and try to direct my line in the general direction of my eyebrow and hope for the best! Haha.
Same here, I checked out yours and I'm your latest follower - although jealous that I can't get many of the brands you review in the UK :P

  6. I just bought it today! And I'm crap at doing the flicks but with this I seem to be able to do them! Only thing about flicks is that I get the foundation around my eye all smudged. So I'll need to practice, love your blog xx

    1. Me too - this makes it much easier to do flicks. I agree about the foundation though. Thanks so much!
