Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Water Spray Review

Hey everyone!
I've been updating my skincare this spring - getting more into searching for great products, especially, as everyone seems to be, French Pharmacie products. They seem to be much more suited to my skin which can often be sensitive. I'm still using my Liz Earle but I'm not opposed to trying out different cleansers. Any suggestions?
Hopefully soon I can share my full skincare routine, but until then I have some individual reviews.

This is the Avene Eau Thermal Thermal Spring Water Spray. I got the 50ml since I was testing it out but would easily buy the full size now.
You can get it from Boots for £3.15 or Escentual for £2.70, but the cheapest place I found it was on Amazon for £2.10.
This Thermal water is meant to soothe skin, particularly sensitive skin, after cleansing, shaving, sunburn or other irritants. It's meant to work as a kind of toner and brightener, and you can also use it to refresh and set your makeup.
I have found it to be a particularly helpful multi-use product. I use it after shaving and it cools and soothes my skin, I use it in the morning after my other skincare products, often leaving it until after I've applied my makeup to keep it looking fresh yet set. It's brightening and tightening simultaneously, but I'm glad it doesn't tighten the skin too much - with my dry skin that would be an irritant.
This does refresh my skin and seems to give it a boost - for such a cheap price I'll be sure to repurchase!
I know it's just water with added minerals and what have you but this really seems to work, at least for me, and so many other toner type products are way too astringent for my skin, so I'm endorsing this one.

Have you tried it? What do you use it for?

    1. I'd love to try the Liz Earle one but feel like for now the Avene will be a more purse-friendly alternative!

  6. I've been curious to try this product. Not sure about the tightening element though. I usually use face sprays just to add a bit of life and dewiness to makeup in the mornings and it seems this one would be good for that purpose :)

    1. I guess that's what I meant by 'tightening' - refreshed and awake skin! I tend to avoid products that make my face feel tight because my skin is so dry and sensitive, it just makes it itchy! Hopefully it's inexpensive where you are too and you can give it a go because I've really been enjoying it :)

    1. I might have to look into that as my Liz Earle just ran out & while I love it, it's a pricey repurchase! Loving French skincare atm - they seem to know what they're doing!

    2. I am also using the soap less gel cleanser and it has made such a difference to my oily face. I have heard a lot about the avene thermal water and I just bought this travel size today to try out and I like it!
