Bobbi Brown Fresh Melon Pot Rouge Review and Swatches

Hey everyone!
Time for another review! This time, it's the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon (£18.00). Sorry that I used it before photographing, but I got it the day before I went to Paris and couldn't resist taking it with me! Also sorry for the smudged packaging - it's a lovely design but picks up fingerprints easily.

The Pot Rouge has been recently updated to come in a flip top mirrored compact making it applicable on the go. And it is so easy to apply. A very soft, dewy cream blush, I blend this on with my fingers and it glides on so easily. I wouldn't use a brush with this just because it's more hassle than using your fingers!
This particular colour is a gorgeous peach with a pink undertone, making it seem a little coral. It's not chalky looking or too pale - instead it builds a warm, natural flush in the cheeks. It's pretty sheer - I had to swatch a couple of layers to get it as pigmented as it is in the swatch on the left.
This is incredibly long lasting for a cream blush too - on my skin (dry, but moisturized) it lasts maybe 7 hours. It stays dewy and glowy for a long time as well - although this may be a downside for those of you with oilier complexions. I find it makes my skin look more radiant and glowing rather than greasy.
I don't use this on my lips mainly because the shade doesn't really work for me lipwise, and also I found it slightly drying on the lips, which is odd because it wasn't drying at all on the cheeks.
Either way - I doubt I'll finish this any time soon but I love it so it's a repurchase for sure!
This is another win for Bobbi Brown in my book, who I've been pretty impressed with so far. However, I do have to say that they are a pretty expensive brand! £18 is a lot for a blush, although not as much as NARS.

Have you tried the Pot Rouges? Any particular colours you'd recommend? I have to say I'm lusting after most of them!

    1. Sorry I've been so late in getting to it! Promise it'll be up ASAP. Have just been too busy with my dissertation stuff to even put it on - no makeup for the past 3 days! Promise I'll get it up as soon as I can.

    1. I should think so! I found a blog here with swatches on Asian skin and it looks lovely and still shows up: http://gorgeousskin.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/bobbi-brown-fresh-melon-pot-rouge.html
      I hope that's helpful!
