Hey everyone!
This is my last post in the Matte Lipstick Series, for drugstore lipsticks anyway. Expect a roundup soon featuring links to all the reviews and a best/worst of list. The final lipstick in the series is
Topshop Lipstick in Brighton Rock (£8.00). I once, in the very early days of this blog, called it my favourite lipstick and took some very bad pictures -
click here to see. Obviously I've since tried so many other formulas that this is no longer true. It's not my least favourite but it's not my favourite. Here are some pictures and swatches:

I know some people hate it, but I actually love the Topshop makeup packaging. I just think it's different, if a little tinny, and stands out from other brands. As you can see, this lipstick is a bright, blue-based matte pink. I really like this colour actually, and it does bring a pop of bright colour to the face - but the formula is a bit of an issue for me. Having tried so many mattes now this is a little drying for my taste. And £8 for a (drugstore) lipstick means I want it to be a little more moisturising. I feel like this emphasises my lines and goes a little flaky after a while. Of course, with a balm or gloss this would be fine and I do really like the colour. Is it just me who's experienced this dryness? Anyway, neither top nor bottom of the pile. I do love the colour and the opaque pigmentation, but it just feels a little
crumbly to me?
Do you love Topshop lipsticks?
