Matte Lipstick Series: Barry M Lip Paint in 145 Punky Pink

Hey everyone!
I know I said a while ago I only had one more lipstick (an E.L.F Studio Matte) left to review for this series, but then I remembered it's actually three. I took all the photos today as I've already worn all three before, and so expect to see them up relatively soon and a roundup of the best and worst drugstore mattes shortly afterward. You can see the others in this series by searching 'Matte Lipstick Series' in my search bar, or clicking the Lipstick tag, or, if that's too much bother, I'll post the links at the bottom of this post!

Barry M Lip Paints cost £4.49. You can get them here or at Boots.
I've worn this lipstick on the blog before. It's very bright, fuchsia pink with a semi-matte finish, although it's not as matte as other Barry M Lip Paints I've tried. Here are the pictures and swatches:

I really like the soft, semi-matte, vinyl like finish of this lipstick. One thing I don't like about Barry M Lip Paints, though, is the packaging. It's super-cheap and flimsy. This lipstick has a big crack in the casing. But I guess you get what you pay for, right?
Anyway, the colour is gorgeous. Unlike some bright blue-based pinks, this one doesn't feel too cool against my skin or make my lips look tinier than they already are. This goes on pretty well - there is a little bit of drag from the bullet but after a few swipes the product seems to warm up. It doesn't bleed and it's very long lasting - in fact, and this is a minus for me, it stains the lips.
It doesn't feel very drying on me, which makes a change from other Barry M Lip Paints I've tried, and is a welcome surprise. I don't feel it hyper-emphasises any dryness in my lips.
All in all, for the price this is a good product in a great colour. For a bright, almost-neon punch of pink, I'd recommend this shade, although it may be a little too out there for some. I for one like it.

I'll also apologise for my skin in these photos - I've been eating terribly badly since Christmas, and on top of that have been using my lovely new Liz Earle products which I'm sure are bringing a lot of gross stuff to the surface of my skin before it can be improved!

What has been your experience of Barry M Lip Paints? Any good colours to recommend?
S xx
