I missed posting yesterday which is a bit rubbish, but I'm back today with my latest purchase, MAC Blush in Pink Swoon. I got it for £10 from Buyapowa which is a website that reduces the price for items when a group of people buy them at the same time. It's a pretty good concept, and if it means I can get a MAC Blush for that price then I'm all for it.
When I bought the blush I was worried it would match Pink Cult, the LE Blush I won in a giveaway last year but this is another case of misreading colours online as this is a much pinker, sheerer and less dusty colour. Pink Swoon is a Sheertone formula which makes it a lot lighter on the skin.

Blended out heavily on the left, layered on the right. Sorry it's so hard to see, I really need to learn to take better swatch pictures!
Here it is compared to Pink Cult, which is on the left in both the comparisons and the swatches.
All in all a lovely, sheer clear pink which I'm sure will be making regular appearances in FOTDs from now on. I like the formula of this, as the regular blush I have has the ability to build up chalky, whereas this is a much lighter, silkier formula that would be hard to overdo. It is a very pink pink, though, if that makes sense. So I feel that on pale skintones (such as mine) it might come off clownish if I'm not careful. Blend, blend, blend with this one! Still, I'm glad I got it, as I build up my blush collection.
Do you have a favourite MAC Blush to recommend, or does the full price scare you off (as it has me in the past, because there are so many to choose from!)?

ReplyDelete@Alex - It is pretty, isn't it? I need to make a list of MAC Blushes as I'm woefully ignorant of which ones are the best! I haven't used any cream blushes by them - in fact I only got my first cream blush (from NYX) last week as they scared me a bit. Can you recommend any favourites? S xx
