Halloween Makeup: 5 Minute Zombie

Hey guys!
Here's my third possible Halloween Look: a 5-minute zombie. I say 5 minutes because I know there are loads of other people out there doing zombie looks that use proper theatrical makeup techniques and are super impressive. Mine is more of a dig-out-what-you-already-own sort of look. I use a LOT of eyeshadow. And deep red lipgloss works in a pinch as fake blood. I included a lot of different angles and close up shots for this one so you can see what I did more clearly. And as for the two headshots - I know my expression is ridiculous, but I was trying my best to be 'zombie'. You should see how many discarded shots there are of me unable to stop myself from laughing!

Here are my two main headshots. I think in the second one you can more clearly see my grey-black contouring and the areas I included 'blood'.

A side view. As you can probably tell, I used a lot of foundation a shade or two lighter than my natural colour, and also with a little yellow tint to it. I think that if you are going to do zombie with the makeup you already own, or non-stage makeup, going lighter and more yellow will give you more of that sallow zombie look. Also it looks a bit pasty and heavy with dulls your skin down to a more dead feel. I also used concealer on my lips - which I would never normally do, but it works for the effect I was going for.

Here's a close-up of the eyes, open. I used a lot of black eyeshadow, heavy especially in the crease and under the eye, as well as in the socket to make my eyes look sunken. I blended it out and together with a purple eyeshadow as well to give it more of a bruised look.

Here they are closed.

And with lipgloss used as blood.
