I’m not gonna lie – my nails are in terrible condition! Because I have to open a lot of boxes and things in work I try to keep them relatively short but they are also really weak. It doesn’t help that filing my nails sets my teeth on edge!
But I do love nail polish and I have a collection that is slowly outgrowing my storage space.
So here is the colour I have loved this week:

Chanel Nouvelle Vague
My boyfriend bought me this for my birthday last year and I was shocked because I’d been searching for it everywhere and it was sold out. Plus the fact that he had even remembered me mentioning it in passing. He is definitely the best at buying gifts!
This is the only Chanel nail polish I own so I don’t know how the formula of this compares to others, but for me it’s not the absolute best – it took about 3 coats to get it opaque.
I have worn this colour a lot since I received it so it was worth the money for me, but its going on ebay right now for £49.99 at Buy It Now prices so might not be worth it for everyone. Anyway, talk around the blogs is that China Glaze’s For Audrey and Diamond Cosmetics Oh Tiff! are pretty close dupes, except that Nouvelle Vague has a soft shimmer to it that doesn’t quite match.
I love this colour though, but can’t afford to replace it when it runs out so may have to go for the less expensive dupes.
