Big Shopping Haul: Superdrug, Boots, ELF, Primark & New Look! Part 1

Ok, so that big bunch of haul posts I promised? I’ve been a little late in keeping up with them, to be honest. But here they are now, so I apologise for the wait.
I went on a big old retail therapy jaunt in the city centre the other day. I managed not to overspend though – a lot of things were pretty cheap or on deal.

Here’s a couple photos of the makeup, accessories and clothes I got.

I didn’t really know how to set this post out because I didn’t want it to be so picture and word heavy that no one would want to read it, but still wanted to review the products properly, so I’ve broken it down into a couple segments.  I suppose it’d be easier if I had a Youtube Channel but I’m not particularly sure anyone would want to watch that!

This first part is about the clothes and accessories I bought. The second part will be about the makeup. Just makes it easier to read!

All the clothes I got are from New Look – they seemed to have loads of nice stuff in now that most of the sale stuff is gone.

This dress is so cute – I saw one similar to it in Primark and in Zoella’s haul video but this was the colour I was after, a kind of bright coral-orange colour. It fits really well and falls quite heavily which makes it look more expensive than it was (£32.99). This is the favourite thing I got.

I’d been looking for a pleated chiffon skirt for ages but most of them were pastels and I really wanted a dark one. This is a good length too – not floor length which can be difficult in Scotland (rain, rain, rain!) but no tiny and ballerina-y either. I really love the navy colour and think this will work well as a transition piece.  (£24.99)
The top I love too. It’s actually a sort of tie-bottom top which will work well with jeans but here I’ve tucked the two front tails in. It’s the kind of oversized/ drapey look I prefer with tops and I’m having a bit of a yellow obsession at the moment, so that’s good. (£9.99)

All my accessories were from Primark. I got 1 thing in the sale but the other pieces were equally cheap.

My mum used to have this necklace that was a black snake with a gold head and tail – the mouth clasped onto the tail so the snake wrapped all around. This gold snake ring really reminded me of that and how much I loved that necklace so I snapped it up for £1.00.

This is the same as the one from the Zoella haul which I realised when I got back but I really loved it and bought it anyway. I have a bit of a thing for animals on jewellery (as you can see from the snake ring and probably will in ensuing posts). It’s quite cool anyway, and it only cost  £2.00.

This is one of those stiffened headbands that you can style. I’m always picking up silk scarves in charity shops and vintage places to tie around my hair or my bag and this swallow pattern was really cute so I picked it up too for £1.50.

So, hope I did ok at that – not really sure if this is how to set out haul posts. Any suggestions are totally welcome :)

Next up is the makeup – watch out for it tonight!
